About this Piece
John Le Maitre made this model of Arsenal's Highbury stadium around 1986. It is one of 93 models, one for every English Football League ground, all shown on Blue Peter on 8 May 1986. Of the 93 grounds modelled, 38 no longer exist.
Highbury was Arsenal's home from 1913 to 2006, when the club moved to the Emirates Stadium. Its Art Deco East and West Stands are listed buildings.
Cork, hardboard and felt. The base measures approximately 45 by 38 cm. In good condition.
