About this Piece
David Hockney OM CH RA was born in Bradford in 1937. A series of posters was commissioned from international artists for the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, and this is Hockney's contribution. The design is bold and playful, typical of his work of the early 1970s.
Offset lithographic poster in colours on thin wove paper, with Hockney's signature within the print.
