Patricia Early, Fishing from the Beach

A watercolour signed by Patricia Early. We have not yet been able to trace her career.

From the dunes the view drops to a curving strand. One figure casts a line into the shallows, with two children beside him. A long line of posts crosses the bay, and dark hills rise beyond under a heavy sky. The washes are broad and wet, with white paper left for the surf.

Watercolour on textured paper, signed lower left ‘Patricia Early’. Window-mounted in cream with a gilt slip, and framed in a light oak moulding.
