About this Piece
Tony Adams (born Romford, 1966) spent his whole senior career at Arsenal, from 1983 to 2002. He captained the club for fourteen years, won four league titles and played 66 times for England. On 3 May 1998 he scored the last goal of a 4-0 win over Everton at Highbury, sealing the Premier League title, and stood with his arms spread wide.
The photograph shows Adams in Arsenal's red and white, arms flung wide in front of a packed Highbury stand. The pose closely matches that celebration, though the print itself does not name the match.
Limited edition photographic print, signed in black ink below the image and numbered 287 of 500 in the lower margin, with a blind stamp lower right. The backing board carries further signatures in marker, among them ‘Frank McLintock’ and ‘Sammy Nelson’. Floated in a cream mount and framed under glass in a mahogany-effect frame with a gilt slip.
